Many mothers who are pregnant and especially those who have entered their month before delivery also feel anxious and afraid to go to the womb check or give birth at the hospital. Most of them have a question: is it safe to go to the hospital for ultrasound? When should I have an ultrasound of my pregnancy? Is it safe to give birth in the hospital, especially if I have a high risk? And others.

  • When should I have a uterine ultrasound at the hospital?

1st trimester (1-12 weeks). Pregnancy checks are not recommended unless an ultrasound examination is required when there are suspicious complaints. For example: bleeding, spots, abdominal pain, it is advisable to go to the hospital for an ultrasound

  • 2nd trimester (12-28 weeks) and 3rd trimester (28-36 weeks)

If there are no complaints, the antenatal examination can be postponed or done online. However, if there are complaints such as: severe nausea, vomiting, severe headaches, bleeding from the birth canal, abdominal pain, contractions, seizures, high blood pressure or discharge from the birth canal, an ultrasound examination is mandatory at the hospital. 3rd trimester before delivery (> 37 weeks). Ultrasound examination MUST be done in preparation for labor.
